Paris Outfit Diary

I recently returned from a short city break to Paris to celebrate the end of exams with my closest friends, where we saw all the typical Parisian sights and of course, Disneyland too. So, I thought a nice way to ease myself back into blogging after taking an unexpected six month hiatus would be to share some photos from the trip and the outfits that I wore each day.

On the first day, we explored the city and did the tourist attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, so I decided on wearing this dress from Reclaimed Vintage that is adored with abstract faces printed all over it. I absolutely loved wearing this dress walking around Paris as I felt very artsy, especially at the museums. On this day, we also went on a river cruise on the River Seine that toured around Paris, which I would highly recommend as it was such a great way to see all the sights without having to walk everywhere! The only problem this dress gave me was the fact that I stupidly didn't apply suncream, and I was left with high tan lines around my neck that didn't complement my V-necked outfit the following day!

I paired the dress with white converse dupes that I bought from Primark for something like £6, just to finish off the clean, all white look. Originally I was also going to add a red lip to this outfit, but it seemed too much hassle to wear when I didn't know when my next mirror break would occur to allow me to reapply it.

Day two we headed away from the city centre and went to Disneyland Paris, although I have been before a couple of times, I don't think it ever really loses its magic. I'm definitely more into the rides, than meeting all the characters, however the parade was fun to sit and wait after a long day of queuing. So for this day, I decided on wearing this black jumpsuit from ASOS that has this little triangle cutout just below where you bra sits. I initially bought this to wear to a family wedding, but I loved it so much I just had to take it on this trip as well. I thought I was going to be way too hot in this, but the crepe fabric was really cooling and the large kimono style sleeves allowed it be breathable. I added the classic Minnie Mouse ears and I personally think it looks quite classy for a theme park.

I honestly have no clue where my arms have disappeared to in this photo, and you probably wouldn't have noticed it unless I had pointed it out!

On our final day, we didn't have much time before we had to head to the airport so we decided to hit a few shops and chill out outside Notre Dame Cathedral. I didn't manage to get any close up photos of me so instead you can enjoy this group shot instead. Despite it being 30°C on this day, I still decided to go for a pair of jeans! Surprisingly though, I wasn't actually too hot as we didn't do a lot of moving around. When looking for a pair of blue mom jeans, I originally wanted to get a pair from Topshop as everyone seems to love their jeans, yet I found them to be too stiff, so I was so glad to find these ones from New Look that are super comfortable, and especially on the aeroplane when I usually wear elasticated waistbands! I love the way blue denim is styled with leopard print, so I wore this bodysuit from Primark to finish the look off.
